Plínio Ribeiro
Co-Founder & CEO
Plínio Ribeiro is the co-founder and CEO of Biofílica Ambipar Environment, a pioneer in Brazil for carbon project development. In addition to his position as CEO at Biofílica, he is also the vice president of the Nature-Based Solutions Brazil Alliance, representing around 15 project developers in Brazil with the common aim of creating a more reliable market for carbon credits with high environmental integrity . Plínio is also a co-founder member of Instituto Escolhas, an NGO dedicated to furthering the environmental agenda in Brazil and is the leader of the sustainability committee of the Brazilian Rural Society (SRB). Plínio holds a degree in Business Administration from INSPER and a Master's degree in Public Administration and Environment from Columbia University and the Earth Institute (USA).
CLAUDIO PÁDUA
Co-Founder & Scientific Director
Business administrator and biologist. He has a master's and doctorate from the University of Florida in Gainesville, USA. He is a retired professor from the Forest Engineering Department of the University of Brasilia. He is currently a professor at the School of Environmental Conservation and Sustainability of IPÊ - Institute for Ecological Research.
JUSCELINO MARTINS
Co-Founder & Board
Businessman and pioneer in environmental initiatives in Brazil, he is founding partner of Biofílica, served as Chairman of the Board since the company's creation in 2008 until July 2021. Additionally, Juscelino is a shareholder of the Martins Group and holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco Triângulo S.A., besides being a board member of the Ecological Research Institute (IPE). Juscelino has a degree in Economics.

Graduated in Business Administration and Post-Graduated from FGV-SP in Finance. He has more than 15 years working in the Technology and Digital Transformation area of large companies and national and international banks. At Biofílica, he is responsible for the Technology and Innovation area, where he leads the construction of internal and market solutions for environment projects management and carbon credits trading.
Soraya Pires
Operational Director
Agronomic engineer, graduated from Esalq/USP with specialization in strategic management and finance from FGV, with 15 years of experience in agribusiness management and development and a career developed in large multinational companies in the sugar and energy sector (Adecoagro, BP and BP Bunge).
ANNIE GROTH
Head of Communications & Engagement
Bachelor in International Relations (University of Maastricht) and Master in International Public Administration from Sciences Po (Paris). Before joining the Biophilica team, she worked with the German Green Party Foundation in the areas of digital policy and infrastructure development.

Operations Manager
Forest Engineer graduated from USP (ESALQ Campus), with an MBA focused on Corporate Sustainability from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He has experience in forest conservation, climate change and in GIS tools and environmental modeling. He works as a manager of environmental projects developed for the carbon market.
MELINA UCHIDA
Business Manager
Environmental engineer graduated from the Federal University of Itajubá, with MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. She has extensive experience in the renewable energy market, sustainability and climate change, having participated in the development, design and operation of plants for the use of biogas energy to produce electricity and biomethane, in landfills and through biodigestion of agro-sylvo-pastoral residues.
Laion Pazian
Commercial Manager
Economist from USP (ESALQ Campus) and MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, manages the commercial team of carbon credits, key-accounts, policy and business strategy of Biofílica. Besides, monitors and directs the analysis of carbon markets intelligence, being responsible for the pricing policy and planning of the area.

Administrative Manager
An administrator graduated from São Luís - PUC, with a post-graduate degree in Financial and Accounting Management from FAAP, she has extensive professional experience, mostly in one of the largest communication and education groups in Latin America - Editora Abril, where she worked in the Financial area in Control and Reporting of Financial Information, Treasury, Accounting-Financial Conciliation, Accounts Payable and Receivable, and Royalties.

Professional graduated from UNICAMP, working in the technology market since 2012, with great performance in digital strategy, software development, digital transformation and business development.

Commercial Coordinator (LRC)
Forest Engineer graduated at UFLA, MBA in Business Management at USP (Campus ESALQ). During his graduation he worked with consulting and technical assistance to rural producers as well as research and market analysis of the forest sector. He has experience in Geoprocessing and Sales tools. At Biofílica he coordinates the commercial area of Legal Reserve Compensation.
RICARDO CORDEIRO
Marketing Coordinator
Advertising executive, graduated in digital marketing, MBA in Marketing, Branding & Growth at PUC Rio Grande do Sul, has over 14 years of experience in art direction (On and Offline), web project management and web design, expert in digital marketing strategies, SEO, Google Adwords, Social Ads, with passage through digital agencies, trade and live marketing. During his career he has coordinated teams in projects for major players such as: Açúcar União, Senac, Camil, Cosan, Hospital Oswaldo Cruz, Gertec, Avis, Abiquim, EBBA (Maguary and DaFruta), VTEX, Mercado Bitcoin.
