Plínio Ribeiro has a degree in Business Administration from INSPER and a Master's degree in Public Administration and Environment from Columbia University and the Earth Institute (USA). In addition to his position as Biofilica’s executive director Plínio is also a co-founder member of Instituto Escolhas and member of the sustainability commitee of the Brazilian Rural Society (SRB). In the past, he has participated in several conservation projects on the lower Rio Negro, through the Instituto de Pesquisas Ecológicas (IPÊ), and was one of the producers of Jean Michel Cousteau's documentary "Return to the Amazon".


CLAUDIO PÁDUA
Scientific Director
Claudio Pádua has a degree in both Business Administration and Biology, and holds a Master's degree and a PhD both from the University of Florida in Gainesville (USA). Being a retired professor from the Forest Engineering Department at the University of Brasilia, Pádua is currently a professor at the Superior School of Conservation and sustainability at Instituto de Pesquisas Ecológicas (IPÊ). He is also a member of the Board of Instituto Arapyaú, São Paulo State Biodiversity Committee and Natura (Amazônia Program). He published three books and more than 40 works in national and international scientific journals.


PAULA CONDE
Financial Administrative Manager
Paula Conde has a degree in Business Administration from São Luís - PUC and a post graduate degree in Accounting and Financial Managment from FAAP. She has large experience, most of it in one of the largest media and educational group in Latin America – Editora Abril, where she worked with Finance Control and Reporting, Treasury, Accounting and Financial Reconciliation, Accounts Payable & Receivable and Royalties. At Biofílica, she is responsible for administrative and financial activities, logistical support to the team and to projects.


RICARDO CORDEIRO
Communication Coordinator
Advertising executive, and more than ten years of experience as an on-line and off-line art diretor. Ricardo has worked in digital agencies, with trade and live marketing, has experience in UX, planning and digital strategies. He also holds a specialization in Digital Marketing and Web Project Management. At Biofílica, Ricardo is the communication coordinator, responsible for digital marketing, branding and institutional communication.


CAIO GALLEGO
Operations Director
Forest engineer graduated from USP (Campus ESALQ), with an MBA focused on Corporate Sustainability from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He has experience in forest conservation, climate change and in GIS and Environmental Modeling tools. He acts as a manager of environmental projects developed for the carbon market and is currently operations director at Biofílica.


LAION PAZIAN
Sales Manager
Bachelor in Economics at Superior Agricultural School “Luiz de Queiroz” (ESALQ – University of São Paulo) and MBA at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Commercial Management), Laion manages the commercial team, key-accounts, the commercial policy and strategies at Biofílica for carbon credits. Also, he monitors and directs business intelligence analysis, being responsible for the pricing policy and commercial yearly plan.


LUANA CORDEIRO
REDD+ Projects Coordinator
Luana Cordeiro is a Forest Engineer graduated at USP – ESALQ and an Environmental Technician formed by the State Technical School of São Paulo. During graduation, she worked in the planning, implementation and monitoring of restored areas and in the development of social entrepreneurship projects, also having experience in the Amazon region. Luana currently works as REDD + Project Analyst in Biofílica and is an active member of the Global Shapers Community.


SUSANE RASERA
Projects Analyst
Susane holds a degree in Forest Engineering and a master's degree in Forest Resources, both from the University of São Paulo – USP (ESALQ Campus). She has experience in the large area of Forest Ecosystems Conservation, with an emphasis on Forest Restoration and biomass and forest carbon accumulation. Currently, Susane is specializing in Ecological Restoration and works as a REDD + Project Analyst.


ALINE RIBEIRO
Projects Analyst
Environmental Engineer, graduated from University of São Paulo (Poli-USP). Brings experience in the field of Conservation, with emphasis on economic valuation of ecosystem services. Has also worked and developed researches on geoprocessing and greenhouse gases emissions. At Biofílica works as a REDD + Project Analyst.


LUANA GERALDINI
Projects Analyst
Forest Engineer, graduated at UNESP (Botucatu Campus) and Postgraduate student in Project Management at USP / ESALQ. During graduation she worked with environmental education and research projects on forest restoration. She has extensive experience in the environment area as an environmental analyst, environmental licensing projects and geoprocessing. At Biofílica, Luana works as a Project Analyst.

Projects Analyst
Forest Engineer, from the University of São Paulo (USP/ESALQ). In her professional experiencies and, during graduation, she worked with themes regarding natural resources conservation, climate change, payments for environmental services, geoprocessing, restoration and forest hydrology. Currently, she works as a Project Analyst at Biofílica and specializes in Project Management.


CAMILLA PAULINO
Projects Analyst
Graduated in Forestry Engineering at UFG (Campus Samambaia), studying for an MBA Program in Forest Management at UFPR (PECCA) and conducting research focused on REDD +, it’s challenges and opportunities. During graduation, she worked with edge effect analysis in forest fragments and forest restoration. She has experience in planning forest routes and roads, environmental education and environmental projects for the implementation of wind and solar parks.


MARCO MARTINS
Geoprocessing Analyst
Geographer, graduated at University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP). During college he had worked with geoprocessing and remote sensing projects applied to environmental subjects as forest monitoring, territorial planning, mapping os coastal habitats and restored areas in conservation units. He works as Geoprocessing Analyst – Carbon Projects at Biofílica.


LUISA COTRIM
Commercial Analyst
Luisa has a degree in Economic Sciences from the State University of Campinas – UNICAMP. At the undergraduate level, had the opportunity to do an academic exchange, studying in Ca’ Foscari University in Italy, as well as doing an internship program as a business analyst in the strategy and management Consulting Firm Kea & Partners. At Biofílica, Luisa works in the commercial area of forest carbon credits (REDD+), developing sale activities with Brazilian and foreign companies.


ANNIE GROTH
International Outreach Analyst
Annie works in the international sales of forestry carbon credits, seeking to develop new partnerships. Before joining the Biofílica team, she interned with the German Green Party’s Foundation within the areas of digital policy and infrastructure development. Annie holds a BA in International Relations (University College Maastricht) and a MA in International Public Management through Sciences Po (Paris).


LAURA ROSSINI
Commercial Analyst
Environmental manager, graduated at USP (ESALQ campus). During graduation time has developed activities of implantation, maintenance and monitoring of ecological restoration projects, management of organic waste and scientific research with native tree species. Previously, worked in the commercial area on the paper and forest products industry, focused on the international market. At Biofílica, Laura works as Commercial Analyst of forest carbon credits, performing the management and prospecting of national and international customers.


PEDRO LAZARIM
CRL Projects Analyst
Pedro has a Geography degree from UNESP, and has experience developing research and acting as an environmental monitor within State Conservation Units, in advisory projects within agricultural cooperatives and in the adaptation of rural properties under the Rural Environmental Registry - CAR. At Biofílica, Pedro works with the analysis and development of the areas database based on the use of Geoprocessing tools.


ANDRÉ JUNQUEIRA
CRL commercial analyst
André is a Forest Engineer graduated from UFLA. During graduation he worked with consultancy and technical assistance for producers as well as with market research and analysis of the forestry sector. He has experience with Geoprocessing tools and Sales tools. At Biofílica, André works in the commercial area focused on prospecting demand for the Compensation of Legal Reserve.
